Hello. I'm a web designer living in southeast Portland, Oregon. For most of the last seven years I've been working for Nike, Inc. as an Interactive Designer/Developer in the Global Internal Communications department. There I've been involved with countless different projects: full blown database driven web applications, HTML emails, departmental web sites, posters and beyond. Some for an external audience and many aimed at the internal Nike employee.

Recently I've made a career change and have left Nike. I've been doing contract work and I'm looking to settle down with a full-time position. Here you can take a look at my portfolio. I’m going to keep it simple. Not everything I’ve worked on is shown here, only select items that showcase my abilities.

What makes me go

I like a challenge. Throw a project at me and I'll make it happen. I'm not afraid to learn new technology and I hunger to hone my skills to perfection. Building web based applications is my passion and graphic design is an added creative bonus.

What I do

I've been working in the web profession for nearly a decade and things like XHTML, CSS, PHP, JSP, XML, XSL, Java, JavaScript, ActionScript and MySQL come naturally. I've even spent some time with ASP, Perl, Oracle and C++, and if there's a project requiring another acronym's skill set then give me Google and I'll figure it out.

Aside from the code I write I'm also right at home working with graphics, whether it's designing something myself in Photoshop or working with assets provided by another designer. I'll make the web page look just like the Photoshop comp.

I can gather requirements, create wireframes, prototype pages, create the visual design and build the final result, or put me on a team and I'll handle my part of the equation. It's all about creating.
